Default Question on Forms on setting up "Send." Need Help - 06-11-2008, 02:33 AM

I am finishing a business site and need to add a customized form. I created the form, tested it with the Build HTML as CSS. It looks OK. but I don't understand how or what to do next. I assume an address will be needed so when the customer completes the form it is sent automatically to a selected e-mail address when the customer clicks on "Send Details." How do I do that? Since there is no directions at all on forms in the Help file or manual, I am at a loss to know what to do. WebEasy seems to have a lot of functionality, but the lack of directions really puts a huge dent in trying to work with it. Any help would be much appreciated, or even a reference to written directions that I can read. Thanks

There is a 'Sticky Form Mail' Thread on the top of this board. (that may help) or Google 'Coffee Cup Form Maker', that's pretty 'idiot proof', you can download and use the free trial version, or you need to get the Form Mail Script from you web host, call them, and tell them you have setup a Form and need the script to embed.. see how far that gets you, and re-post.

See the second "sticky" topic on the main page, read it, there are two ways listed to make it work. DO NOT use a standard "email submit" form as it does NOT work with all email clients and won't work for people using webmail like Hotmail, yahoo or gmail.

In all honestly, the best way to do it, is simply provide an email LINK on your contact page and if you need specific information from the person just state all the information you want them to include.
