Internet Explorer problem OT

I am having a problem with Internet Explorer, often (past few days) while browsing, it stalls, hangs up, then crashes. I am guessing it is infected with some malware. Any thoughts, I have switched to FF in the meantime..

You might want to go here and check out hijackthis. http://www.majorgeeks.com/download3155.html I had a problem with something similar to that and if I remember correctly, it fixed it.
