Question #Reference (on a link name) problem - 05-27-2008, 10:02 PM

I have tried to fix a link today and cannot figure it out. I have deleted the link and reconnected and I cannot get rid of (#reference Glass Wine Bottle Stoppers) when I go to my online site and click on STOPPERS, I get www.strausbaughsglass.net/#Glass Wine Bottle Stoppers. The link doesn't work. How can fix this?
Also should I be linking by page title, number or what. I'm leaning towards the numbers as they don't change like a page title might. Right now I have it set up with titles. Thanks! Mel

I link by website URL for example MySite/Contact.html .Because, your Title Tags should be adjusted in accordance with SEO Tactics, reflecting the content of that page, it may change often as you adjust to Optimize. As for that funky link you have, I've had that experience, and usually end up deleting that link area, and starting over. WE gets alittle 'fickle now and then, and I suspect that some of yours pages, and code have been re-written so many times that WE sees it as a big mucked up mess. (hope this makes sense, I am not trying to be critical) *trial and error*

Default Move my navigation bar - 05-27-2008, 10:49 PM

Should I move it altogether maybe to the other side? I updated this bar on my home page and pasted it on every other page & still have this problem? Thanks Mel

I would delete that that text 'Stoppers' (with link) Then re-insert some Rich Text that says 'Stoppers', and re-add the Link. Or delete that entire brown box that has Stoppers on it, and 'copy and paste' a Brown box above oor below, changing the text to Stoppers, and add the Link..
