Default Joomla - 05-21-2008, 02:27 PM

Has anyone tried to incorporate Joomla with WE? I am working on a project that would consist of at least 40 websites and I would like to use Joomla for easy administration.

Well.. i'm in the process of learning drupal which is referred as the best CMS out there...
but there is no connection between what you make in WE and the CMS, its too different things. and you need to make your site from scratch with the CMS as far as I know..

Yes thanks Supa. I read that in the Joomla document right after posting. The CMS doesn't care about what application was used for the creation. And I do not see a good way to incorporate it into an existing site anyway.

Yep.. no way of doing that..
Though I think learning CMS would give one a great power over site designing.
It should make you one level higher in web designing in the aspect of holding databases, register users, allow clients to have a specific power over what they can customize in the site.
A great tool.. just too bad it is too complicated..

What in particular is so complicated about it. I watched a live demo from an individual and Joomla seemed pretty straight forward. I guess you should have some scripting knowledge but besides that it seemed fairly simple.

I will dive into it and give an update of whether it is worth the time or not in my opinion.

I guess a plain static site isn't hard... I was talking more about some database and table viewing with Eshop and such..
