Thumbs down *.ACC support - 07-11-2007, 01:37 PM

The side panel of the box reads as if *.ACC is supported media, however the center browser in my Melody Studio does not allow me to view *.ACC files.

I've ensured that I updated my software via the "Options" in the top menu bar.

Also, but not certain it is related, when I try to convert an *.MP3 to an *.ACC file by using "Save as", I get a pop-up window that reads, "Your computer does not have an internet connection. In order to read or convert this file, an Internet connection is required in allowing Ringtone Media Studio to download a multimedia software component." And of course, my computer does have an internet connection.

Any and all help for both issues is greatly appreciated.

Whether or not RMS will support .acc files will depend upon which profile you have it set to. Which phone profile are you using? Some phones will support different files, your phone may not support .acc files.

Default Phone Setting - 07-25-2007, 02:58 AM

I had it set to the Palm One Treo 700. Based on a recommendation, I reconfigured to Generic: Generic and it still won't convert.

You may not be able to convert mp3s to acc files (or vice versa), but you should at least be able to view any acc files on your PC using the Generic Phone profile. Conversion is more complicated. When you save you are presented with several file type options, those are the only ones available for the given file you are saving. If you do not see the type you are looking for, then this software cannot perform that particular conversion.
