don't recevice or send

have cassiac 6.04 can here modem dail and it says voice conecktion in progress but doesn't go though the pone nor will it receive call .

When you try to make a call, If you have a second phone on that line you can pick up that phone and listen to the fax. If you are getting an busy signal or operator message you will be able to understand it.

Do you have High-speed internet? or VOIP phone service?
Are you trying to fax long distance? If so make sure you have that service active through your phone company..
