problems using cpt on a new computer -

I just recently installed classic phone tools 4.01 on my new gateway pc. it has an agere systems pci-sv92pp soft modem, but classic phone tools won't work with it. in the setup, I tried to auto-detect what it was, but it would go through the modem commands and then say that the modem was detected but not identified. that being said, it won't let me make any calls. the driver that is currently selected is the pci softv92 spkrphone modem.
I can't seem to locate any drivers more generic than this. what can be done?
