FIX FOR INDEPENENT MODE AND US ROBOTICS MESSAGE MODEM

I have posted a similar question a few months ago but it seeems to be erased...
Anyway here is our situation:
1.PHONETOOLS EXPERT 4.XX SUPPORTS PROPERLY US ROBOTICS INDEPENENT MODE BUT FAILS TO WORK EITH OUTLOOK 2003......!!!!!
2. PHONETOOLS CLASSIC 6 WORKS OK WITH OUTLOOK 2003 BUT FAILS TO INITIALIZE INDEPENDENT MODE:IT KEEPS SETING UP THE MODEM WITHOUT DOWNLOADING ANY FAX OR MESSAGES...
SO WE NEED THE POWER OF TWO PROGRAMS TO WORK BOTH THE MODEM AND OUTLOOK 2003 TOGETHER... (HOPEFULLY NOT THE POWER OF THREE FROM THE CHARMED WITCHES....)
AFTER HALF A YEAR OF QUESTIONS ARROUND THE FORRUM NOT EVEN BVRP COULD ANSWER PROPERLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
THE SOLUTION:::
COPY MODEM.PAC FROM PHONETOOLS EXPERT 4 INSTALLATION TO CLASSIC PHONETOOLS 6 INSTALLATION. REDETECT THE MODEM AND EVERYTHING IS OK (USE 3COM 56K MESSAGE MODEM DRIVER FOR XP NOT THE NO PNP DRIVER... NO SERIAL WANE NEEDED...)
IT SEEMS THAT BVRP TECHNO STUFF HAS IMPLEMENDED WRONG DATA SET FOR USR XX5668 (MESSAGE 3COM MODEM) IN PHONETOOLS 6 BUT PHONETOOLS EXPERT 4 CONTAIN THE PROPER SET....
I BELIEVE THAT THE SAME APPLIES FOR OTHER MESSAGE MODEMS AND AS PHONETOOLS EXPERT REMAINS AT REVISION 4.XXX FOR A LONG TIME WITH NO OUTLOOK 2003 SUPPORT THE CHEAPER CLASSIC PHONETOOLS 6 IS THE WAY TO GO....

I use CPT 6.04 with a Pace Solo 56 Independant mode modem. Can you advise if there is a demo version of the Expert product that I can get that file from. The internal drivers (what that pac file is) were changed from version 6.03 to 6.04 and that fixed many issues but caused a couple of new ones with my modem. I would have made this reply quoting your original post but the quoting tags dont seem to be working properly (at least the formatting doesn't show up in preview mode where it used to do so).

The working modems.pac of expert phonetools is is a 1.295.429 byte one where as the classic 6 file is a 2+MB file. This means that they have added support for further modems since first release....
In download section there is a modems update for expert phone tools. I think this contains the correct modems.pac but anyway if you have problems try to email me .... (see my profile)
Sorry to say although BVRP has stylish products they are not fully functional. My modem was bundled with an early supervoice software (2000) which although it looks outdated it still functions properly....
