A few days ago I purchased Classic Phonetools v6.04 from http://www.bvrpusa.com/ as I was under the impression that I would be able to use this software to fax documents using my Motorola v180 as a fax modem.
I have the required USB data cable and have installed Motorola's corresponding driver. I'm currently running Windows XP SP2 and the device is listed as "Motorola USB modem". During setup, the device is detected in your program and all the settings are automatically configured. However, when I attempt to test sending a fax, a "dialing" message briefly appears on the cellphone and immediately after it disappears. According to Classic Phonetools I get a "Transmission Timeout" message. No fax is sent. Despite the message displayed on the cellphone, no call is received on the phone I am calling. I'm at a loss as to why it doesn't work. |
