Default Help! - 03-03-2006, 09:51 PM

Ok, I am pretty new to this and I have a couple problems. The reason I purchased Phone Tools is because I was spending way too much $$ on paper and ink for my business. I want to be able to use my computer to fax and receive AND still fax hard copies from my Lexmark X7170 all in one. Everytime I fax using Phonetools through my computer though, it goes to the person I am suppose to BUT ALSO my Lexmark, so I end up printing out wha t I just faxed, kind of defeating the purpose. Can anyone help me?

You will need to disconnect the Lexmark from the phoneline when you are faxing from the computer. It is detecting the faxtones from the computer and going into reception mode automatically.

The version of our software that you currently use does not support faxing directly with your cable modem, however if you still have the analog modem that our software came with installed in your PC, you should still be able to fax provided it is still plugged into an analog phone line. We do offer two software packages that allow you to fax over the internet with cable. These are FaxTools eXPert and PhoneTools eXPert.

FaxTools eXPert
14-day FREE trial available on our website.

You can use promotion code tech97 to get a 15% discount off of either of those or on any software purchase from our website.
