I have built two sites using Web Easy 7. One will be hosted as a subdomain of the the other. How do the local folders need to be set up? Right now both sites have a separate Html folders within the general Web Easy file. The main one is simply called Html. The second one is called Html_Website Two. I have tried: Completely separate folders i.e. Web Easy Website One and Web Easy Website Two in my Document Directory. I have tried: Separate HTML folders within main Web Easy file i.e. Web Easy\Html Website One and Web Easy\Html Website Two. I have tried: Two different folders within main Web Easy file ie. Web Easy\Website One (in that there is a separate Html file) and Web Easy\Website Two (in that there is a separate Html file). After I uploaded them, both sites look like modern art. The images are blurred and skewed. I have looked through the forums and I see info on remote setup but not local. I have searched Web Easy 7 help and find nothing. I've contacted hosting company (Host Papa). They have worked with me to ensure that the ftp and remote files are set up correctly. They have asked me to contact you about this. I am now in Day Five of this struggle would genuinely appreciate an answer.

Wow. That was a question? That was a lot of information. To much info, not exactly sure what it is you are talking about. But let me try.

I think you are asking about your job folders on your pc. I have always suggested using a seperate folder for your job documents, and subfolders in that folder named after each of your projects. In the subfolder job folders save your WE document (.alb file) and any special or custom graphics that go along with the project.

I also strongly suggest that your project folders be stored on an external harddrive. Here is an example of my project folder structure...

I searched and searched for that answer and couldn't find it anywhere. Apologies for too much info! I just wanted you to know I'd tried. Thanks. I will try that. At least now there is a header that is clear for this type of question.

It isn't the jobs folder that are causing the problems (I don't think). I think it is the MyDocument WebEasy folder. If you look at http://www.mentalhealthconsultancyuk.com/ and http://www.hoardinguk.org/. They are a mess. I have talked to HostPapa and they have told me that the problem is on your end (well my end actually!). I have read here that one can't have two indexes in the same folder. That is why I detailed the variations on the folder configurations in MyDocuments--in order to try to sort out the index conflict (which is what I perceive this to be). I sent all the detail so that you could see all the diff ways I've tried this in MyDocs and hopefully tell me the correct one. So that you could see that I feel I've tried them ALL. And yet, the site(s) looks awful. I believe there is a conflict in the MyDocs folder, but I don't know what it is or how to resolve it. My C Drive folders are set up the way you suggest (I back up to an external hard drive so they are safe).

Still not understanding the problem Megan, both those sites look fine. I didn't see anything I'd call a "mess". Are you sure the problem isn't simply your pc and your temporary internet files/cache. Try clearing your temp files.

Anyway, your host was right when they said you can only have one index file. Any "folder" on your server can have only one INDEX.HTML file.
