I have several things that I want to put on a page that a large block of text. Together these would not look very nice on a page.
I therefore want to type the first portion of a line, then have the word "more" or something similar, that the reader can click on to view the entire block in a pop-up window (screen) that is on top of the current page. Once the reader is done, I went them to be able to click on a close button and be returned to the current page with the pop-up closed.
Is this possible?
Thanks as always for the kind assistance!

Google "pop up window script". Lytebox is nice, but not very easy to setup and make work.

Use this link to generate the script you need...

Then read the information in this thread to learn how to insert the script...

I tried Lytebox last night and got it to work. See an example on my personalized sippy cup page (http://www.posylane.com/personalized-sippy-cups.htm). I'd post the code details but it seems the forum has it blocked.

I never said it wouldn't work, its just not easy since you need to do some raw code editing and WE general doesn't let you do that. I've got it working on some of the photos in the photo album on my personal site. But I think it was a lot of effort for a few simple effects.

Trust me, you were not off the mark. I had to play with it to get it to do what I wanted since their instructions suck. I consider myself an advanced amature and it took a good 3 hours or so before I finally got it.
For me, Lytebox is exactly the affect I want when people click on pictures. I looked at the alternate methods and nothing seemed as clean and "professional" so I am glad I have that weapon now.
But I did want to show it can be done by a rube and just how it looks when a rube uses it.

Here is an example of how I used it and the "frame a website" option...

Maybe couple hours. Feels good when you get it to work, then you're like, man that took forever, was it worth it?? LOL
