VerbatimEB was banned for "spamming"

I recieved an email from VerbatimEB that she was banned for "spamming" and she will never be reinstated. When I think spamming I don't think VerbatimEB so I think the mods made a mistake.

How do we get her unbanned?

I don't recall her spamming the forum at all. Heck, I don't recall any regulars spamming, asside from several goofy messages from our friendly neighborhood monkey.

Cathy Mommysclub was banned also.. but she contacted them, it was a mistake, she is back online. WE screwed up, probably with Verb too.

WOW! I'm unbanned now. Scary to think you can get banned for no-spam being called SPAM, eh? *lol*

Pretty unusual mistake.

I can tell you one thing for sure. I'm going to make a list of the folks in this forum in my contacts. I had to rack my brain to think of your websites and screen names. You think you know people names but then when you go searching the spelling is wrong or you don't remember it correctly.

Making this list is going to the TOP of MY list for this week!

What was really funny was I woke up in the middle of the night last night thinking that if I could find a few of you - you might be able to help. I wrote to WebMonkey at ryze; found Posylanes website by searching for "Posylane"; and then searched for Web Easy 7 and found a thread at the "techsupport" forum with zeekstern commenting, so I wrote to him too. After that I was able to get back to sleep! Then today "voila", I was back in. Of course, since it turns out that it was a glitch thing, I feel rather foolish...

Sorry to everyone who might have worried over this silly thing! BUT, you are all much appreciated.

Since this is SO off topic for this forum, would it be considered SPAM?

Verbatim, i had responded to your email you had submitted. Might want to check your spam or bulk mail folder if its not in your inbox. :)

We apologize for the inconvenience. When spam is found on the forums, what the forum admins do is check the IP of the account that posted the spam. Usually the spammer will have several accounts and this way, we can ban all the accounts before they continue to spam. The most likely scenario is that the spammer uses the same ISP as you, and you were assigned an IP that was at one point used by the spammer, thus including your account to the list. We apologize again for the inconvenience and will try out best to make sure we remember your s/n to prevent it from happening again.

AOL does have it's faults, eh? Although trying to mask the IP for security purposes, it can mess with things like this forum. AOL is certainly not spam free but I have enjoyed a much less hostile email environment using AOL over the years.

Some forums block address ranges because of SPAM too. I guess I have been lucky so far, in that this is the first time this has happened to me.

Not True! I would want to keep in contact with everyone! Those were the names that popped into my head when I was trying to remember EVERYONE and I realized my memory was not nearly as good as I thought! A list will include everyone who posts on a regular basis. I contacted the ones that "popped" into my head before I went back to bed.

Sorry if it sounded like only a few mattered - everyone matters, for pete's sake!
