First time post - first time problem.

1. I had the "no responding" problem - where everything was not being transferred. So I deleted all the files and started over several times then different images and text would appear and disappear with each transferred.

2. So I started trying to upload a page at a time - this is where my problem is at, the html code appears as the web page.

I dont even know where to begin on this - i've gone back to the editor and tweeked, save and then preview everything looks fine.

I go to publish to the website and something is going wrong.

Can someone take a look at the source code and tell me what's what?

Your are going to hate this. The family page looks fine. Clear your temp files in IE perhaps? Oops, not so fast. I decided to look at the news page (not found) and clicked "back" and got your html stuff. Don't know but at least i confirmed it. I, as always, will recommend an outside ftp program to avoid all this nonsense.

Okay, this is strange. Everything seemed to work just fine as long as you used the navigation links on the page, the minute you use the browser BACK button, bam...raw code.

The one thing I noticed that stands out to me is that your home page is actually named INDEX.HTM instead of INDEX.HTML. Try rebuilding your package and make sure the index file is set to HTML, reload the site and try that.

This means at some point you saved the website package with an additional extension, for example mywebsite.com When this occurs WebEasy uses the .com extension as a file type for the website. After this all files will end in .com, which a browser will not recognize. Once the package name has been changed to something like .biz or .com,
How to change it back:
1) Remove the extension from the package name i.e. mywebsite instead of mywebsite.com
2) Go to the object inspector
3) Select the view document properties button in the top right hand corner
4) Then in the inspector window select the properties tab.
5) There is a property 'Html file type' that you need to set back to .htm This will allow you to build your site with a .htm extension again.
You may want to delete the old website files from your local build folder and the web server.

Thanks for the reply on this.

That was the problem which is now fix - the pages somehow lost their file name.

I am golden until the next problem
