You see people come to this forum, desperate to get 'Avanquest' out thier Source Code, etc , because they don't want thier 'Client' (LOL) knowing that thier website was bulit with software that costs $49. I'm proud to say that I met the gentleman that owns the www.upsidedown8020mortgage.com website, made by me, with suggestions from Bob (the Client). Anyways, we went over changes, he saw how the software works, I told him how much it costs, and I also told him I will give him the WE Docs if he want to buy the software. The site is 99 % done, I will upload the updated files tommorrow. So, to the Zeeksterns of the world, with thier top secret projects, I say, 'In Your Face !'

Lastly, this site is legit, the owner is smart and honest, if your mortgage is poop, give him a call, toll free. τΏτ

I actually had some dude give me crap because I use WE. I laughed because I looked at the sites he created using only HTML and they were poop. (A webmonkey08 catch phrase) hahahahahaha

But seriously, I don't understand the overwhelming need to remove that part of the code. I can get a website done faster and know what it's going to look like pretty much the whole way through. What's better than that? Not much.

Whats the big deal? Simply delete those lines from the raw code once you're done. Use notepad or FrontPage if you got it.

The cost of your tools should have no reflection on what you charge to use them.

What the clients are paying for are your time and your skills, not the tool you used.

I'm a photographer so my $3,000 camera and $1,000 (each) lenses, etc. are my tools. Should I charge my clients for my photography based on the cost of my tools (about $20,000)? No. I charge for my photography by what the project is + how the images are going to be used + my time and part of my overhead, etc.

I don't care if a client looks at the digital file's EXIF information to see what camera and lens I used to create the image. So what?

With all this said, then what difference does it make if you used WebEasy or Front Page or Macromedia Flash or even Notepad?

What should be important to the client is if your website design does the job for them and nothing else. Including the tools you used.
