View Full Version : Published website won't show

Hi Everyone,
I'm making my very first website :lol: with WebEasy Pro 6 and used the tool to publish it onto www.thwanghk.com. For some reason I cannot see the website (the old admin page keeps popping up still) but when I log onto ftp I can see all the files EasyPro dumped in. What am I doing wrong? I suspect I'm missing something extremely basic.

Also, I separated by website into two albums so that it would be easier to manage....how do I publish them together onto the same website?

Any advice would be of enormous help and highly appreciated! Thanks in advance for your patience!!

Make sure you main page is named INDEX.HTML

Hi David,
Thanks for your reply. =) I have doubled checked the file name and confirm it is named 'index.html'. Does the caps affect it? When I view the index.html file IN ftp it shows the correct page too! But www.thwanghk.com doesn't show it still.

I did some work for someone, and the same thing happened, so I called the web host, and they had adjust thier 'Name Servers' ( that might help )

I think the problem is the WEB folder? Not sure. Who is your host?

Looks like it is correct to me BUTmake darn sure that you have it spelled EXACTLY right. This means if you capitalized just one letter that shouldn't be then it no worky.

Thanks for all the replies! I called the webhost and they fixed it (I didn't understand his explanation though). I hadn't realized it was a webhost problem! =)

Time to go finish the site......

i have updated my site several times and went to update it today and now i cant get the site to work.Tired the diffent idex.html, w/o the L and keep getting a 404 code some one please help me email me at dongiri@vetshit.com or david.o.ongiri@vetshit.com
