One of my laptops crashed and lost all my webpage files (Webeasy 7).
How can I pull the files from the hosting server back to my home computer?
Thanks

You to your web hosts website, login, go to Control Panel, and there you can download files . Your going to have to re-do your web easy Doc

It amazes me that so many people don't know how to use the basic functions of their hosting service. Uploading, downloading, transfer, renaming of files are all basic functions that you can do using either a FTP program or a "file manager" in your hosting control panel.
Who is your hosting provider. Check their support page for a users manual.

Not just you, trust me. This kind of question gets asked over and over and over again. I meant no disrespect by my reply; what I hope is that my reply prompted you to seek the answer you are searching for via your webhost.
Without know who your webhost (which you still did not list) is, and what kind of file manager system they have provided you with, we (the users here) can not really give you the answer you are looking for.

No problem. You pointed me in the right direction and that was exactly what i was wanting. I realize many of you work with Webeasy daily but I do not. For example, i am a very advanced user of Excel which i use extensively at work. I get questions from others at work and I think "this is so crazy, just look under etc, etc etc". Then I realize they work with excel maybe once or twice a week or month, as I am in it every day, almost all day.
I bought Webeasy to do some websites for a couple sideline businesses my wife and I operate. I do not have time to become proficient in HTML so Webeasy has been a nice alternative. We may use Webeasy maybe once every couple months so we have to "reaquaint" ourselves with it each time. We are okay with that because we live busy lives and do not have time to spend hour after hour exploring its capabilities and functions. That is why this forum is so important to us as we can search our questions, and if no answer is found, then we can post our inquiries. We hope to be able to be on the other end and help users as we learn more about the software.
I am sure we are not the only ones in this boat and hopefully you "experts" will tolerate us.

Great, so it sounds like you were able to figure it out then. By the way, calling us experts is a stretch, we all are always learning new things about the program here.

For any one that has lost a file - see mozy.com
Free online back up for 2 gigs. Works in background auto and is easy to recover files - I back up all my .abs docs.
Take a look. And, this is NOT a sales pitch for ME - but if you like it and enroll thru my link on my website - we BOTH get extra .25 gig of free space.

Also, if you obtain the html files of your website, you can import them back into webeasy.
Click on File >> Import from html
This will create a seperate webeasy file for each page, which is not a good thing. Also, depending on the sophistication of your page, it may not copy all features over, but it will bring in the basic overall design element of the page.
Now whats the point of having 10, 15, 20 different .alb files all containing one page right? Ahh, the beauty of select all, copy, paste.
Open up the main .ALB file for the home page. Insert a blank page to it.
Now open up the 2nd .alb file. Press Ctrl + A, to select all, Ctrl + C to copy, then navigate back to the original .ALB file to the blank document, and press Ctrl+V to paste.
Repeat this process, and copy over the pages from multiple alb files back into one .alb file.
You will probably have to do some editing throughout the way, but at least you get the overall layout of your website back to work with within webeasy.
