Hi All
I am designing a website for a Track & Field Athletic Club and am new to webeasy trying it, as cant get my head round dreamweaver. A couple of questions if you dont mind.
How to link from a webpage to a specific section of a word document that is part of the file. This word document holds all the club records by age group. And will be continually updated.
What is going to be the easiest way to edit the site as we have athletes competing all over the world so have results coming in all the time and i dont want to keep on downloading and uploading the site to make a change to the results section of site when i might just be changing 2 figures.
I am sure i will find more questions as i progress the forums have been a great place to find information on what works and what doesnt.
Thanks

Don't think you link to a specific "part" of a WORD document, only a HTML document.

Does that mean I would have to setup a webpage or pages for the records.?

Not necessarily. You mentioned linking to a specific "part" of a word doc, I think that would only work if the document was a HTML doc. You can however link to the ENTIRE word doc with no problem.

Thanks for the clarification David
As the current word doc is 6 pages with 3 different age groups on each page in table format looks like the easiest and tidiest will be setting up webpages.

A Word Doc can be edited in Word, and saved as an HTM File, then uploaded to you FTP, and linked to your site. DONE !

Make a separate document for the Word document. As WebMonkey, said open it in wordpad and paste it in a text box on a page of it's own. You make it a separate document so you only to have to upload that page when you change it.
Then add bookmarks or anchors to link to any place on the page. Read up on "anchors" in the help file. I admit I have yet to figure out how to make an anchor and link it properly but supposebly it can be done.

Thunder:
Instead of populating the website from a word processing document wouldn't it make more sense to use a database? Otherwise you are asking for a lot of continuous work to maintain the Word document. (I think that's what one aspect of Microsoft's Active Directory.)
A second idea: if you have a free Google Gmail account they offer (also free) utilities for on-line use by groups such as spreadsheets and event planners. Do some research to see if one of their free services can be linked from your website.
Alternately, the Google folks also give you a free space to put up a website and templates to design with. That's what I've used to date. It's possible that route could be faster for you (and easier to maintain).
