Hey,
I have gotten a lot of help from you all... so thanks for that. And if this question has been answered elsewhere, please forgive me. I searched, but didn't find any answer that fit my exact situation.

Here we go: I need to be able to have a video from this paranormal groups Youtube page open up in a popup box. I have the embed code from Youtube and have no problem embeding it into the site, but... I don't wanna have to create a new page for each individual video that is linked, but I also don't need to simply have a link and send them to Youtube's site (no redirecting).

Here's what I've done so far: I have the script for the popup box, no problem. I added in the location of the Youtube url for the particuliar video, went into the link section (right clicked on the video title in our site), went to the internet tab, then script. I entered the script... and nothing. Made some changes and the only thing I got was the script actually displaying on top of the actual link itself.

Just can't figure this one out. I just want to be able to have the video to remain hosted on Youtube and have it open up in a new window from within our site when the user clicks the video title..

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Oh yeah, still using WE6 (haven't decided to UG yet).

Thanks
Chris

Why don't you just make a tex link on your page Click Here (http://www.youtube,com) And just have the link open in another window.

Hey WebMonkey,

Thanks for the reply. I know that I can just link, but I don't want to redirect them to Youtube, even in another window; I want to keep them on our site. What I want to do is have the embedded video open in a popup box, say roughly the size of the actual video.

I have the Java script to open the popup with the definied hight and width (400x450). I know how to take just the video url and place it in the Java script. So in essence, I have the script prepared. But I can't figure out exactly where to place it in Web Easy using the custom script function.

I opened up the link box, clicked the Internet tab, ticked Script, then entered the Java script on the "Script" field. Under that it says "On Blur" by default, so I left it. When I did that, it just displayed the actual script in text on top of the link itself.

I can't use the Insert >Component >Dynamic Link for it because then it will just embedd the actual video where the placeholder is.

Basically, I'm not able to create the popup box properly. If I can figure how to create the popup, then I can enter the Java with the Youtube video link within it.

So to make it short: I dont wanna redirect them to Youtube's actual site. I want to create a popup box for the actual video to display when clicked by the user.

Anyone?
Thanks a lot!
