Good afternoon -

I did a quick search, albeit probably not an effective one, trying to find an answer to this issue.

My web site was built with WEP 7. Each page name is based on the entire file name. Issues is named campage_003.htm. Contact is campage_004.htm, etc. Is it possible to get these files renamed without messing up the entire site? I.e. issues to be issues.html, contact to be contact.html

Thank you for your help!

Yes. This is a common problem when someone first uses the program without knowing all the little "quirks". Every page can be named to match the function of that page, ie. contact page as contact.htm, about us page as about.htm etc etc.

To do this you use the INSPECTOR and change the file name of the open page.

- Open your document.
- Goto VIEW and then select INSPECTOR

The inspector will open in the right hand corner, make sure the PROPERTIES tab is selected. Then on the little dropdown arrow on the top right of the inspector box, select CURRENT PAGE. Now look down to towards the bottom of the stuff in the listings below and you will see FILE NAME. Double-click on the box and enter your desired file name. Do this for EACH of the pages in your document.

Save, build, publish. Voila!
