Has anyone solved the problem where Web Easy 7 starts to open, and then immediately closes? It was a problem 6 months ago, prompting us to switch to WYSIWYG Web Builder (which I find to be far superior to WE in every way except text quality) so I stopped following this forum.

I do have one site that I created for a friend with WE, and when I tried to update it.... sure enough... WE won't open. I know that hundreds of people had experienced this same problem, so I am assuming that Avanquest has solved it by now.

Can anyone help?

Thanks,

Hey Ron, I finally got a hold of support and they did something on there end and it started to work. I do not know what they did but it works now. support is in the house now, so get ahold of them. They can solve the problem.

Thanks for the info. I don't find a "Maintenance Update" on their support site or a post here explaining the solution. If they have a solution I would think they would sticky it to this forum. I guess I'm just surprised considering how many people had the same problem.

The last time I contacted Avanquest support I was put on hold... then disconnected.... and never recieved an answer.... Never recieved a response to my e-mail to tech support.

I can create a new site for my firend in WB5 faster than I can get an answer from this outfit.

Thanks!

Well then there's your answer Ron.

By the way, your site takes a long time to load (and I'm on broadband) and a good amount of your graphics are distorted or fuzzy (this usually happens when you stretch a image larger than its original size) and you have a missing screenshot image for the video for remember Vic Hooker.

Well Ron, I see now why your site loads so slowly. I downloaded most of your images to see whats going on. You have OVER 13megs of images loaded on your main screen, and I say over because I stopped downloading them after passing 13meg.

Why are you using BITMAPS and why don't you resize your images????????? You've got at least one image 3600x900 and another 3000x2400. If you simply resize your images and convert the BMP's to jpegs you could cut your disk size down to probably under 1meg and your page would load in a few seconds instead of the snails pace it loads at now.

You realize your page is most likely not even accessable to someone on dialup with those kind of file sizes.

If you plugin the URL for that webiste into this web page load analyzer http://www.websiteoptimization.com/services/analyze/index.html

There's some much junk on the page, it won't even analyze it. Not good..
