Someone posted this to me from another board but i want to get your feedback here
below is what i received

1. Someone suggessted to bullet point my homepage content -- any opinions?

2. I noticed that all of your articles have the same keyword meta tags. You want to add new and different meta tags to each article. Can someone refresh my memory how to do this? (webmonkey i know you must have told me at somepoint:confused:)

3 You could use some headers as well. You want to use your keywords in header tags. (can someone tell me how to do header tags) Your key words should be mentioned in the links throughout your site, in your content (several times and in different ways), in your header tags

Maybe it is just me but these terms after a while start to mesh together so if soemone could tell me if 1 this is sound advice and 2 how to accomplish it i would appreciate it

Whoever tells you this stuff, tell them to show you the goods, have them show you thier website, and why it ranks..(I bet they can't)

Here's How I analyze a website:

1) How old is it? Do a whois and find out (age matters)
2)How many backlinks to they have? Check with a 'Link Popularity Tool' or go to Yahoo and plug in: link:www.site (that will display backlink)
3) Go to the Explorer Tool Bar and 'View' the Source Code. See what Keywords they have in thier Title, Keyword, and Description Tag.
4) Then, check the Content to see if thier Keywords that 'are' in the Meta Tags are in the Content (they should be)
5) Take 'thier Keywords', and plug them into a Rank Checker to see where they rank with Yahoo, MSN, and Google

Give me the URL of the person that is giving you this advice, I wanna see...

I am just so frustrated with how many people 9not from here) find it necessary to give me their advice when it is not asked. I have received so many comments about different SEO techniques and books to read and what i need to do. Ok i am no expert (webmonkey can second that) but my gosh i am learning :mad:

Your website is not that old, so no need to panic. You have a ton of backlinks, so you are primed to get good position. I think you should re-do your front page Content and zero in on a few simple key phrases, just so you can see how this works.

Look at a Competitors site (that ranks) and study thier Content and Keywords in Metas (view Source Code for Keywords)
