I was reading the thread you had posted with jerden regarding loading speeds and you were helping him with a lytebox
http://www.dolem.com/lytebox/
i followed the directions as you had specified, but my problem comes when you download the file, i have the compressed file in my temp folder. i tried to send it onto my web page through filezilla and the effect is not showing
i am just practicing with it on the image at the bottom on page
http://www.octoberart.com/octoberart_013.htm of my website.
i have a temp folder labeled "pics" and my images inside already titled. those links seem to be in order, just not seeing it. did i do something else wrong?
thanks,
:)

Its not working because you do not have the two lytebox files (lytebox.js and lytebox.css) in the root directory of your webfiles. The way your code is wrote its looking for those two files in your root directory, but they are not there.

that worked great.. i guess i need to add it to my html folder... just one more question... the white box shows up, but no image. i have my "pics" folder with my files labeled in there and when i check the properties of the pic, it has the correct info.. is my image too large? or do i still have my pathway wrong?

(the image is toward the bottom of the page)
i made the pic file in both my html folder and temp to be safe:)
this has been really hard for me to figure out (especially since i have no formal computer training and have been getting all my help from you wonderful guys!!!- i love this forum)
thanks for all your help

hey OctoberArt i dont know if this will help but ill tell you what i have done.
1st as you have done I have uploaded all the lytebox files to my root using filezilla dont forget the image folder aswel for the close prev and next buttons.

2nd with filezilla i uploaded a pics folder to the root of my site and inside that i added the product folders which contained my pictures eg Jewelry, Belleek etc.

3rd I then linked them with the code as you have tried as in http://www.celticdesignco.com/pics/.... and the folder where the image is located and the image name.

It works fine for me now and loads great. You should try adding a pics folder instead of linking the images directly from your root folder I tried that but it didnt work. Hope thats of some help.

I would try it with a standard image file (jpg, gif) rather than a tiff and a smaller one probably.
