objects that won't stay put

I have a new quirk that I have not been able to overcome.

I have a gif image that refuses to stay up front when previewed or published.
I have a shape that refuses to stay in the back when previewed or published.

Both work fine when done in dynamic html.

These items happen to be on different pages.

I keep looking for some kind of interference but I am not tripping over the cause.
This just started happening in the last week. I have deleted the items in question and redone the deal, I have also rebooted, did a rain dance, and all the other usual things to no avail.

Anyone else ever run into this?

Only time I had something similar happen.. things went wacko on a page..it seemed like I had too much stuff on the page, maybe it ran out of memory or something, and threw out some of my stuff.

I am coming to the conclusion that I have a corrupted program. Why, I don't know....it's windows. shutdown and degragging solved nothing.

At the same time I am having this no stay put issue the page and background colors are the same thing. Page color overrides the background color and vice versa. It used to work.

I am tempted to reinstall the program but I am stalling due to all the strange things going on with the opening and registration numbers.

OK, I uninstalled and reinstalled the program.
My object not staying put seems to have settled down. We shall see, fingers crossed.

Always cross your fingers when you Build (and pray too) please, please, please...please don't poop out..
