I am trying to use the webmaster tools with WE 6. And Google says this:

------------
Once you verify that you're the site owner, we can provide you with comprehensive statistics and error information about the pages in your site. If you're unable to verify, you can still use the webmaster tools, submit Sitemaps, and see detailed information about those Sitemaps as well as basic information about your site.

We offer two methods of verification. You can either upload an HTML file with a name we specify, or you can add a meta tag to your site's index file. Choose your preferred method below
.
.
.
Copy the meta tag listed below and paste it in your site's home page in the first <head> section of the page, before the first <body> section
---------------------

Is there any way to do this on WE 6?

Thanks for any help that you may provide.

Don't use the meta tag method ,
just use the second option Google gives you & upload a HTML file, just create & name a file in notepad with the code they give you, click 'save as' & paste the code i.e. google02c986ed49672c27.html . Save it in my documents or desktop . & upload it using tools/transfer files in Webeasy 6, just locate where you saved the file & drag the file across to your root folder.
The file itself can be blank

Your code will differ from the one above
This then validates all your sub sites as well

Vic,
Why is the second choice a better one?

I just think its easier because once its up in your root webspace then no matter
how you alter or delete your websites its permanently there & it also validates any subsites you may have at the same time
