I bought Web Easy 7 with ABSOLUTELY no knowledge as to how to make a web site and spent several hours looking at the posts on this forum and picked up a lot of information. I did not know, and still mostly do not know, anything about script, but the information provided on this forum was invaluable. I did a lot of searching here and elsewhere for a Guest Book and saw the information on one on one of the posts. I ended up finding one at http://www.phpbb.com/community/ which I ended up using, although my mail from my host is not set up yet so not sure if it works, but it was easy to install. Thank you all for the vast storehouse of information provided on this forum. Jon
Here is the final (for now) result. http://www.nickelcarver.com

Nice work - Is that a template or did you make the red background ?

The pages are a template. I am still working on the site doing little things here and there (no surprise) and trying to get the guestbook to actually work, which it doesn't (no surprise). I am sure this stuff is probably a lot easier for people who actually know what the heck they are doing, but I'm persistent.

An update on the guest book issue mentioned previously. The guest book uses PHP mail (some of you probably know what that means, I certainly don't). In any event my guest book would not work because the site host (Godaddy) did not support PHP mail on the Windows platform of their site, but did support it on the LINUX platform (whatever that means), so I just had them switch my account to a LINUX platform and now it works. The guest book is really kind of neat because it does not rely on the user's e-mail program to send the feedback/comments. It does not capture their e-mail address or name unless they actually input that information, which I think is good because some people don't like giving out their e-mail address for fear of spam.
