 I'm a complete newbie and I'm stuck. I've figured out how to connect to WS_FTP and when I do I see my local files on the left side and the remote files on the right side. The remote files are as follows:
anon_FTP
cgi-bin
error_docs
httpdocs
httpsdocs
private
statistics
subdomains
vault_scripts
web_users
On the left side, I've got a number of files (including script files and a notepad document, apparently one for each webpage along with an images folder which contains all of the images for my website.

The question is what files or documents on the left side need to go to to what folders on the right side? Once this is done, will my website be up and running or are there other steps I need to take? I'm using ieasysite.

I'm not at home, but on the right side should be a folder called Public_HTML ( I think) You should call your web host and tell them that you are new at this, and ask them which Folder should I drag my files into.

ask your server where it would be best to put your main page.

I put mine in the html then all of the subfolders are in html as well.

When you upload you need to have your index page and all of the other pages as well as your images and they need to match where you have said they would be. in other words if you have all of your images in a separate directory called images you need to create a folder on your server called images, everything has to be exactly the same spelling and capitalization.

Thanks for the replies, I seem to have figured it out somewhat. However, I'm still a little confused as to how I should upload 2 seperate documents under the same website. The reason I'm doing this is because, I'm using a dynamic website and I want to include a contact form which doesn't work properly under dynamic sites. So I created a second document for the contact form page. Was I correct in doing this? If so, how do I designate primary and secondary documents? Also, what's the best way to link the rest of the website to the contact page and visa-versa?

in your Public Folder, make a new folder, maybe call it 'contact', then drag the Contact poop into that Folder.

on the Internet, you will find it at mysite.com/contact/index.html

If I understand you.. you have 2 albums 2 sites?
Just put the main one in the main area (in my case /html) then create a folder on your server (in my case /html/secondsite/) put the second site in there. The folder name must match the name of your site.

To link click on the text or image you want to use as your link right mouse click to link select web site and type in http://www.mysite.com/secondsite

These are all questions for your webhost company. We can only make speculations unless someone else has the same server. As I mentioned in another thread, most providers have online help available to answer most questions. I found the answers to your questions, online at your providers site...
