IE vs FireFox

Just created a web site with some nice transitions on both images and text. Looks great in IE but transitions don't look the same in FireFox. Also text transitions in FireFox do not clear so if I have text on top of text they do not clear so it is all jumbled. Works fine in IE, Text fades in then out and next text block comes in just right. Any rules for FireFox and other browsers?

Actually transitions are not as popular among web designers. This is due to the fact that Internet Explorer is the only browser to continue to support them. So anyone who visits your site with another browser such as netscape, firefox, etc will not see them.
