send details button

I am very new to site building, but this software seems great. I am having a minor issue getting the "send details" button in the "contact details" to do anything after publishing. What information should I put in there for it to work? I try double clicking on it and nothing comes up.

I'm having the same dilemma. How do you code the send button to direct form information to an email address? Also, how do you link the send button to a new page that reads "thank you for submitting"?

There are a few FAQ items that cover this in great detail so I am just going to post the links rather than copy in the entire text.

A few basics:


When you setup the form with a mailto, the clients own default email is used. In many cases, they may not have one setup or the default is not setup correctly, meaning the form will fail.
The form mailer script is far more reliable and does not depend on the client having an email account setup on the machine but it does require more work to setup the mailer script
The mailer script will hopefully come from your host but there are many free ones on the web if you do a search
