Ok, I had this all figured out in 5, and now I have 6 and a different pc. So after switching everything over to the new laptop, I am down to the sound clips and a video. Here is my question: I need to know how to make those sound clips and video appear in a media player, such as windows, when the link is clicked on. Right now, the clip starts playing as soon as the 'sound clips' page opens, even though it's not linked to the page..only the button. I want it to open in another window, and play on a media player. I am sure there is an easy answer to this, but I just can't find it.
Thanks!!!

It sounds to me like you might have accidentally linked your clips to "audio".
Try linking to a file instead. In the link menu, choose "internet", then choose "file". And, if you've done this already, sorry I couldn't help!

This is pulled right from help so sorry for those who have seen this, but here is great info on embedding a video or audio file. Try testing on blank page while figuring out how to use the embedding process.
Setting Multimedia Player properties
The Multimedia Player properties dialog lets you customize the script attached to an embedded object such as a movie, sound or streaming video. The parameters are presented in two columns:
Parameter - a descriptive name of the parameter.
Value - the actual value for the parameter in the custom script.
The values of the parameters marked by the italic font are automatically filled by the dialog:
File Name
Get a file specified by the link to Embedded Object when the script is initialized.
Store the a new file specification into the Embedded Object link definition when OK button has been selected.
Note: you should keep this file consistent with the Embedded Link specification otherwise the file may not be included in the final Web Site Package and the player may fail.
Width
Height
Get the current size of the selected item every time the dialog is open. Use this feature to update the object setting after resizing the embedded object place holder.
Online Help - there may be more specific information about the object online (optional).
Default Values - restore initial data for all parameters in the dialog.
Remove All - delete all parameters and associated custom script.
To modify the properties of an object:
Select an item with the embedded object link, for example AVI movie.
Click Multimedia to display the Multimedia toolbar.
Click Multimedia Player Properties to open the Embedded Object Properties dialog.
The message about the Object Player supporting the embedded file may be presented. You should choose OK in order to add the player script into the selected item. Note: the operation may be ignored if the suitable player has not been found in the system resources.
Choose the player that best suits your needs by click on the current player name at the top.
Modify the value of the parameters.
Click OK to save the settings.
To create Embedded Object with the Player:
Insert an image which will be used as a place holder.
Select the image item.
Click Link to display the Link dialog.
Make sure the Internet tab is selected.
Make sure the Embedded Object checkbox is selected.
Click on the Browse button and choose the embedded file. Use video or audio file.
Click on Player Properties to open the Embedded Object Properties dialog.
Choose the player that best suits your needs by click on the current player name at the top.
Modify the value of the parameters.
Click OK to save the settings.
Note:
Not all the files may be supported by Multimedia Player settings.
You should not modify the custom script of the item in order to continue working with the Embedded Object Properties dialog.
Visit the Web Site of the company delivering the plug-in application for more information about embedding the object into Internet Browsers.
The Web site addresses for Online Help were correct at the time of the software release and may not work properly in the future. Use Internet search engines to find more about the embedding the objects into the Web Site.
Tip:
After resizing an item with an embedded media file, reset the player again. Setting the size is performed automatically by the Embedded Object Properties dialog and is reflecting the current width and height of the place holder.
Use drag-and-drop to automatically setup the Embedded Object Player suitable for the file you dropped.
Double click on the item with the Object Player to open the properties dialog.
