For the WE techs:

Question:
In the links dialog form I do not find a way to add a link to the favorites list.
Where is it hidden?

Suggestion:
I and others have suggested this in past versions.
The favorite URL list box is too narrow. There is no way to see the end of the address. When you have several that are similar with only the last word or number being different there is no way to know which to choose.

The favorite URL form needs the ability to expand horizontally by the user or add some scroll bars. Or when doing a mouse over of the link expand it so that the whole address can be seen. Please do something, anything, as it is not useable the way it is.

Help Files
The file called "about linking" has a dead link in it. See the link titled "Create a link that starts a file or program" This can be accessed directly from the help link in the link setup form.
I just checked about going into this file from another help file source and it appears that any link to this particular file is dead. There may be others.

Thanks
Dave Koehler

Hello Dave,

I agree 100%. It is one of the only flaws I find - that links box size. If I was more of a guru, I might know others! LOL.

As it is, I go along my happy way in WEP bliss.

Has the version 7 fixed the disappearing graphics if they are moved around on your hardrive ? i.e. does it now automatically copy everything you incorporate into your website into one folder regardless of where they originally were on your drive so that they cant get moved or deleted ?

I doubt it and I can't see a reason it would do that. That would double up the files saved on the puter. That could be problematic for those with small hard drives.
If you move your files all you have to do is tell it where they moved when you open up the document the next time.

If you have the room, you can do as I do. Manually make those duplicates.
If, for instance, I have a photo in PhotoPaint that I want to use I make a copy to my webeasy custom made "Dave's photos" folder. That way there is never a concern about this if you move or delete something in the original program folder.
For my purposes, most of the time web site related photos are saved directly to my WE folder instead of double saving. I know where they are in case I have another use for them.

Related tip:
I have forgotten already how 6 worked but with 7 and maybe Vista has something to do with this, I had to uncheck the box that says something about searching all the webeasy folders (the top check) and use the bottom option where I can tell it that I moved the files.

I have found an issue with the ecommerce buttons if you move all your WEP files somewhere else. I will attempt to post about that if this forum will let me. Seems like I can't post too soon or too often without getting server errors. Heck, the post I made wondering about the posting problem got deleted so who knows?

What makes it annoying is that when you get the 'files missing ' popup & select Webeasy to search for them it can never find them even tho they are on your drive somewhere

Vic,
Check those options I was talking about. They way they are written, if checked, they only look in webeasy folders. It assumes you have everything under the WE umbrella. You have to tell it to look on c drive or whatever folder you know about, etc manually.
