Hi all! We are just starting to use Webeasy and I have a couple of concerns and I was hoping that you may be able to shed some incite!! We are working on a ecommerce site- a new business that we are venturing into. I already have another website but... Not really fond of the software. However, we already have a merchant account and I would like to incorporate that. How easy/ difficult is that? Unfortunately, it's not one of the one's listed within Webeasy. Also, how difficult is it to add products and follow sales etc... On my other site, I have an admin area that allows me to see the sales and customer info- Is this similar?
Thanks!
Nancy

This is probably not going to answer your question but here goes my experience.
I use the Americart service. This was the correct one for me as we already had an in house merchant account and I did not need an on line company to handle the credit cards. The way Americart works is the customer punches the buttons on your website, the order comes into them and they email it to you. They do all the dirty work. and cover all the security angles. You get the order, do your normal paperwork, run the credit card numbers, send the order out. All done. It's not an fully automated thing but that would only be necessary if you were done a bunch of orders per hour.
Let's see, it's been a couple of years now with Americart and zero issues.

Hiya Nancy!!!!
UH - first, thanks for joining my Yahoo group -it is going to be great having you there!
I am probably not going to be of help with this issue either as I have not built any sites with WEP that has a shopping cart. I build informational and sales sites that usually have a link to somewhere else for that.
I hope there are some folks here who can answer as I am very interested to know about the same issues you have mentioned. I do use authorize.net for clear credit card orders from one website and since I have an account there would use it again if I need the service at new websites (I didn't build that site, I purchased it with the shopping cart intact).
I also assume (?? stupid, I know) that you would need an SQL database for products and I am still learning that, so have no clue, as yet. I guess we will wait for some guru to fill us in? lol.
