how do I load ringtones?

I can't figure out why I can't find anything to put ringtones on my phone? My phone is a motorola v3m and I know that it does play mp3's but when I open the motorola phone tools there is nothing that says I can load ringtones or music on it. Why is this? and is there another program that I need to download to install ringtones on my phone?

If you have Verizon service, you will not be able to transfer multimedia files to your phone, except by using the Verizon network. They have a website for this, www.vzwpics.com.
