Conexant D850 56K V.9x DFVc Modem

A Conexant D850 56K V.9x DFVc Modem is detected when installing PhoneTools Expert. PTE does not automatically configure to this modem.
What is the best choice of modems supported by PTE that I can select to get PTE to function (properly)?

I have a similar problem. Using Vista. Have a new Dell PC with a Conexant D850 PCI v.92 modem.

The modem is recognized in the setup, but then cannot complete the setup. It is asking me to pick from 3-COM and US Robotics devices.

Any assistance is appreciated.
