I just hooked up my Lexmark 1150 and tried to send a Fax but no success. When I loaded the bvrp Software it asked for my Modem Name and I did not see it in the list provided. I am assuming that it is the name listed on my High Speed Internet/Cable Modem which is "Touchstone Telephony Modem". I tried typing under OTHER and the software program finally detected a Modem for me and continued to set it up. I clicked Finish when prompted and then attempted to send a FAX but a message kept coming up in the top Box "Not Connected". Will my high speed Internet/Cable Modem work with the BVRP Software that came with my LEXMARK X1150?[/b]

Question:
Since installing DSL my FaxTools no longer operates like it used to.
Answer:
The version of our software that you currently use does not support faxing directly with your DSL modem, however if you still have an analog modem installed in your PC, you should still be able to get it to work fine. Typically you will need to have a filter plugged into the analog modem and we do have a document on our website outlining how it needs to be hooked up so please take a look if you are running into any problems since getting DSL: www.bvrpusa.com/download/documentation/DSL_Setup.pdf
We do offer two software packages, FaxTools eXpert and PhoneTools eXPert that allow you to fax over the internet with DSL.
FaxTools eXPert
14-day trial version available on our website!
