I would like to know if I can set up my fax to be used in conjunction with my phone...I want my phone to give the option of receiving a fax or a call to the home. Is that possible with this tool? Right now I have to know exactly when someone is sending a fax so I can switch on the fax so my phone doesn't just ring into the home. I would like to always have both available??

The program will not distinguish the difference between a fax and a call it will pick up every call when open.

does anyone know how or what type of program does allow this. there are people out there with this option. Do you have to set it up with the phone company??

You can setup distictive ring with your phone company and the line will ring different when its a fax. The modem needs to support distictive ring in order for the program to only pick up the distictive ring number.
