Expert PDF 3 & Expert PDF 4 installation errors.

Hi

I have tried reinstalling Expert PDF 3 and i get the following error messages under Windows XP.

Error 1406. Could not write value ProductID to key\Software\Visage Software\PDF Printer\Options. Verify that you have sufficient access to that key, or contact your support personnel.

Clicking ignore I then get the following message:

DoAddPrinterDriver: FAILED 2, The system cannot find the file specified

Clicking ok I then get the following message:

1797: Failed to add printer. The printer driver is unknown

I then clicked finish.

This means the software is installed but the PDF printer driver isn't created.

I have also tried installing Expert PDF 4.1 as well and this gives the same error message as well.

Is there any information on how to overcome these error messages.

This sounds like it may be the result of not having full administrator access. What type of user account are you using? 'computer adminsitrator' or 'limited' account.

The problem seems to have been resolved, uninstalling the HP printer drivers and then reinstalling the software seems to have done the trick.
