fax tool don't pickup when fax receive

We need to determine if your modem is getting reing events:

1. From Windows, click Start, Run, then type in hypertrm and click OK.

2. A Connection Description screen should pop up asking for a name for the connection. Type in Test, then click OK.

3. A screen should appear asking for a phone number. Click the Cancel button.

4. You should be at a blank HyperTerminal screen, with a blinking cursor. Type in ATE1 (may not show up as you type it) and hit enter. It should respond with OK.*

5. Then call into the phone line that your computer is plugged into and let it ring four times. Does it show:

RING

RING

6. If it isn't showing rings here, the modem is not getting ring events and may need to be reinstalled.

7. If it is showing in here, but isn't in Faxtools try reinstalling Faxtools.
