use dsl, was able to fax using dsl until now. have 56K, westell modem, XP (5.01.2600) fax tools version 5.10 says conexant 56K HSF (1/1) line down last attempt

The program will not work directly through dsl. The program faxes through the analog modem in the computer. Make sure the line is connected to the analog modem also.
