Can't send fax 1150

have Lexmark 1150 printrio, Dell w/Windows XP, modem says "PCTEL 2304WT V.92 MDC MODEM". I can hear the modem dial and the receiving fax tones, but my fax doesn't send.

no error just the message as mentioned in the first post:

Sorry I was mistaken last post...no error message at all, just won't respond when the receiving fax sends tones. I have FaxTools version 5.10, running in Windows XP Home with a dial up connection. The software came with a Lexmark X1150 and the modem is PCTEL 2304WT V.92 MDC. I am able to do everything, the modem dials the number and I can hear the receiving fax tones and then my fax doesn't respond.

Set the program to a generic modem driver.

From the faxtools go to
configure
general setup
communication tab
change modem
select your modem and go to next
check do not automatically detect the modem will select from a list
next
select Standard fax for the manufacture
select fax class 1 11400 data 33000 for the model
next
finish
once your back to the communication tab check exclusive use
yes on the warning
ok

Try sending the fax again.
