I have a rapidly diminishing interest in trying your product. I tried a free version from Personal Computer World (it was about V3). When I tried to use it from Word it caused a major crash. I took a screen dump of the error messages and put them into a photo-editing package, but that crashed as well so I lost them all. I had to re-boot to sort it out (the messages were relating to memory violations in the various software I was running, which is why everything was crashing, but that’s all I can remember).
Another try and I did get it to do a pdf, but all my bookmark information was lost. This is useless to me, but reading your notes on version 4 seems to indicate that bookmark information may be available in this version.
I have thus, uninstalled the V3 and tried to download/install your trial of V4 (the latest as of 10 Aug 2006).
As it installs I get several error messages:
DoAddPrinterDrive: FAILED, The system could not find the files specified.
After that I get:
1797: Failed to add printer. The printer driver is unknown.
Without much hope I tried to do a pdf from Word and got another message:
Exception: There is a printer error.
I uninstalled the trail, re-downloaded it, re-installed and exactly the same happened.
I’m using XP Professional SP2 and Office 2003.
Any thoughts?
