DIAL-UP FAX RECEIVING QUESTION

I'm not having a problem with my faxes but I do have a question...Do you need to be online or offline to receive a fax?

My OS is WIN XP Home Edition Version 2002 SP2, FaxTools came w/ Lexmark All-in-One X1270, I have a 56K modem (Dial-Up) U.S. Robitics V.92 PCI Faxmodem

You can not be connected to the Internet via dial up and fax at the same time.
