Hi, I have recently downloaded Ringtone Media Studio to evaluate before buying. I have version 1.04 (050919005790) (R) which I updated after installing on my Windows 2000 SP4 Compaq EVO Notebook.

I have two phones. Mitsubishi 342i (Infrared only) and Sharp GX17 (Bluetooth and Infrared).

When I click on "Transfer to Phone" I get the following message
"No Bluetooth or Infrared device is detected"

Both phones connect perfectly to the PC either by IR or Bluetooth.
I can transfer image or music files to both phones no problem.

I have read all the FAQs and done everything mentioned.

Please advise if this is a problem with the software as I dont intend to purchase until this problem is solved.

Thanks.
Regards.

What kind of Bluetooth adapter do you have? Does it support OBEX transfer? Do you have both phones connected at the same time.

Hi, thanks for prompt reply.
I'm using a Level One MDU-001USB Bluetooth. The CD that came with it has Toshiba software and there is a list of 'Profiles' mentioned:

DUN Dial-Up Networking
FAX
LAP LAN Access Profile
SPP Serial Port Profile
HID Human Interface Device Profile
FTP File Transfer Profile
OPP Object Push Profile
A2DP Advanced Audio Distribution Profile
AVRCP Audio/Video Remote Control Profile
GAVDP Generic Audio/Video Distribution Profile
HSP Head Set Profile
PAN Personal Area Networking Profile
BIP Basic Imaging Profile

Nothing mentioned about OBEX.
How can I find out if it is compatible. What about my IR Connection?
I have been trying each phone one at a time.

Thanks

Can you transfer files via the FTP transfer.

Again, do you have both phones connected at the same time? Can you transfer using the IRAD software.

You might try disabling the Bluetooth or IR when using the other, they might be causing a conflict.

I'm having the same problem with my Sanyo Katana connecting to my computer via my Vastech bluetooth dongle model no:BT200. I didn't understand the answer to the original question. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
