I have a lexmark x1185 print trio. My hp tells me I have pc fax capabilities. I have bvrp faxtools on my programs list. My system tells me the fax is working. I have verizon dsl connected to my phone and pc. What is an identifier? How do I get the fax to go through? fax keeps redialing stating line down. Who's line mine or the recipients?

Questions 1 and 3:
The version of our software that you currently use does not support faxing directly with your DSL modem, however if you still have an analog modem installed in your PC, you should still be able to get it to work fine. Typically you will need to have a filter plugged into the analog modem and we do have a document on our website outlining how it needs to be hooked up so please take a look if you are running into any problems since getting DSL: www.bvrpusa.com/download/documentation/DSL_Setup.pdf

We do offer two software packages, FaxTools eXpert and PhoneTools eXPert that allow you to fax over the internet with DSL.

FaxTools eXPert
14-day trial version available on our website!

PhoneTools eXPert

You can use promotion code tech97 to get a 15% discount off of either of those or on any software purchase from our website.

Question 2
The Identifier is either your name or Fax number. Its how your PC will idnetify itself to other fax machines.
