Transfering with a USB data cable

I just purchased a NEXTEL Motorola USB charging Data Cable and when I try to transfer the saved file to the phone it prompts me to use the software that came with the device. Nothing came with this device, did I purchase the wrong thing or am I doing something wrong?

Ringtone Media studio will not transfer over a data cable. You will need to use the transfer software that come with the cable to transfer that way. Rintone will only transfer directly to the phone over Bluetooth and Infrared. With a Nextel phone you may have to SMS the files to the phone. We are not able to transfer directly to the the IDEN phones at all. You may be able to use the SMS delivery service at www.ringtonemediastudio.com.
