very soon i will be switching to broadband using a router/modem and would like to continue using classic tools as an answer machine which i have been using for 3 years, i still have a pci modem in my pc and have answers to other posts where you recommend connecting the pci modem to a dsl splitter/filter and dsl to router,but this answer was for faxing would this still work for answer machine also i thought they did not recommend conting anologue modems to dsl or is it ok through a filter. This is on xp with sp2.
