View Full Version : Outgoing Faxes getting stuck @ conversion
Lexmark's Helpdesk@IL

When I click "preview" or "Send" ,a dialog box that says "Converting"
opens up, but freezes(i can only get rid of it by killing the process),
and the printer(X1190) starts printing the document, although the "print
outgoing faxes" checkbox isnt checked.
but!,when i send docs directly from M$ Word (file>print>CaptureFax
BVRP),its all alright, and fax is being sent perfectly(selecting "View" causing it to stuck again with the conversion process).
I've followed these instruction: http://support.bvrp.com/phpbb2/viewtopic.php?p=20913#20913
- but with no succes.
Any suggestions?
regards,
al.

How are you attaching when it is failing?
What do you mean by "its all alright, and fax is being sent perfectly(selecting "View" causing it to stuck again with the conversion process). "?
Which instructions did you try at that link, the ones to download and reisntall capturefax?

when i send thru M$ Word, there's no conversion problem.
unless i select "view" instead of send.

So again, How are you attaching when it is failing?
i open with MS Word the document i want to send, click File>Print , and "print" it to LexmarkFax,and the fax is being sent perfectly.
However,
when i open FaxTools , press F2(send fax), and follow the instructions,
including documents attachment, the Fax Tools' gettin' stuck on
the conversion process.
hope i explained myself better this time :-)

You might try uninstalling and reisntalling Capturefax with this download to see if it helps:
Here is a link and instructions for downloading and installing Capturefax BVRP.
1. Go to www.bvrpusa.com/capturefax
2. Save the file to your desktop
3. After the file is downloaded, close all programs, and from your Windows Desktop, double-click on CaptureFAX.exe .
4.To verify the Capture Fax drivers installed, from Windows, click Start, Settings, Printers and it should show those drivers.
