We have Classic Phone Tools, OEM installed by Dell and a BCM V.92 56K Voicemodem. When we record our greeting and play it back the voice quality sounds good but when callers get our greeting over the telephone the quality is very bad. I have tried several different ways to record the message including the built-in Recording Wizard and Microsoft Recorder but still the quality you hear on play back is good while the quality over the phone is bad. What do we need to do?

What version of Classic Phonetools do you have?

That version was not a good version. I am sednign you an e-mail to update it to see if that helps.

I'm using version 4.01 which came with a modem I just purchased, and I'm also having voice quality issues. Any chance I could get an update. My email is savvysolo@gmail.com.

It came with a Stratitec V.92 PCI Controllerless 56k Modem With fax and Voicemail.

There is not an update for that version then. You could purchase the Classic Phonetools 6 if you wanted a newer version, but I don't think it will improve the voice quality as we do not have specific drivers for the modem.
