Modem Name softV92 Data Fax Modem
Operating system XP
Problem: Everything seems to work fine but the modem will not answer incoming calls. It hears the call and gives the message there is an incoming call. Tells me I can pick up. The message then changes to say it is connecting but nothing happens. When the incoming caller finally hangs up or I have manually picked up the handset the message remains on the screen but modem seems to be locked and cannot be redirected to Voice Message or Phone until the program is shut down and started over again.
This internal modem was recently purchased from a local Office Depot to replace an external Multitech modem which recently died. The Classic Phone Tools program worked fine with that modem.
I noticed my previous message (May 8 or so) has been deleted from the forum. Does this infer the problem cannot be answered and I should try another product?
Any help would be appreciated.
