We have Clasic PhoneTools 6.03 , recently we bought Brother MFC-8440
http://www.zdnet.com.au/shared/images/products/brother_mfc-8440_200x150.jpgall in one machine, it comes with horrible fax software and with user friendly PaperPort soft.http://www.nuance.com/images/logos/boxshot_ppt10_prof.gif
PaperPort allows to "find" folder with received faxes and see them as list , thumbnails etc , it allow to convert them quickly to pdf format. But unfortunatelly Classic PhoneTools *.T31 extention is not supported by PaperPort, so in order to make pdf out of fax received in ClassicPT I have to convert it first to .tif then find it on desktop then convert it to pdf which is very anoying.
CPT is absolutely best fax software but I miss this easy pdf conversion..
Question.
Is it possible to set ClassicPT6,03 to store all faxes as other extention than t31 ? tif will be prefered (huffman or packbit preffered because of compression and small files)
It will give me option to use ClassicPT for faxes and PaperPort to edit them convert to pdf...
or maybe there is another software or version that is more user friendly as we speak about tif and pdf extensions?
